Health Minister Ismail Sallam arrived in Baghdad on Friday with a delegation of businessmen and doctors to sign contracts with Iraq under its oil-for-food deal with the United Nations. Egypt agreed to take in Iraqi patients unable to get proper treatment at home and struck a deal to dispatch Egyptian experts to Iraq to repair damaged medical equipment. Sallam, a trained heart surgeon, operated on three Iraqi patients during his visit.
