Silent

The Egyptian-European Festival of Silent Movies with Live Music is the first of its kind in Egypt. Ten countries are participating with rare screenings of influential productions dating from as early as 1914. And while the film and accompanying music did not necessarily originate in the same package in the case of the Italian entry, the film is accompanied by the original score.
The earliest Egyptian news reels by Mohamed Bayoumi, including documentary footage of Saad Pasha and Nahas Pasha and the transportation of the pillars of the Morsi Abul Abbas Mosque, are accompanied by electronic music composed by Mohamed Abdel- Wahab Abdel-Fattah. The same composer's music, performed by violinist Hassan Sharara, will accompany Bayoumi's feature film Barsoum Looking for A Job.
