Talbani and Barzani

Talbani and Barzani

Talbani and Barzani are hardly alike as peas in a pod. Yet despite superficial differences -- height, hair colour, a pair of spectacles here or a glossy moustache there -- their smiles of joy are almost identical. True, one of the men attached to these expressions of mutual enchantment is short and round, with slick dark hair and eyes which I dissimulated here behind creases of mirth; the other is tall and more oval, with a jovial expression barely tempered by eager ears and an imposing nose. But the suits, the clasped hands and all those teeth: surely these are signs of agreement?
