Habibie

Indonesian President BJ Habibie attempted to set himself up as the middle-of-the-road man who would allow the ruling class to preserve its stability and its grip on power. Here I emphasised the voluminous contours of his face and the relative exiguity of his features. He has failed in his mission, as popular anger explodes once again, and he may not be laughing for long. Even his hands here are unable to meet, try though he may to grasp the situation.
