The Opera House is exhibiting 40 rare photographs of Umm Kulthoum, by some of the most celebrated names in the history of Egyptian photogtaphy.
Back to the Seventh Cairo Biennale: in the Palace of Art the Italian artist Gio Pomodoro exhibits bronze and marble statues as well as watercolours which display a unique awareness of space and constitute a departure from the influence of Henry Moore, while the Centre of Arts in Zamalek hosts several contemporary Italian artists in a generally interesting show.
