Beef stir-fry

Ingredients:

500 gms lean rump steak (cut into thin strips)
3 spring onions (diagonally sliced)
2 carrots (sliced)
2 zucchini (sliced)
100 gms mushrooms (sliced)
100 green string beans (2 cm lengths)
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp fresh ginger (grated)
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp chili sauce
1 tbsp cornflour (dissolved in 2 tbsp water)
1 tsp crushed garlic
Dash of salt

Method:

Heat oil in a large frying pan or wok. Add garlic and spring onions. Cook over medium heat for 3 minutes. Add beef. Stir-fry over high heat for another 3 minutes. Add the vegetables and stir-fry for 3 minutes more. Combine the cornflour, soy sauce and chili sauce in a small bowl. Add to pan and stir until smooth. Cook, stirring, until sauce boils and thickens. Do not overcook vegetables. Serve with steamed rice and a green salad.
