Kamil Hawwa
At the Khan Al-Maghrabi Gallery in Zamalek Lebanese artist Kamil Hawwa exhibits 64 paintings which bear testimony to his sustained effort through the years. Though he did not have a formal art education -- Hawwa graduated from the American University in Beirut, since when he has divided his time between Beirut and Cairo -- these works, landscapes and figures, demonstrate his delicate feeling for nature and his freedom of approach, mixing memory and understanding with immediate sensation.
