Farghali Abdel-Hafiz
THE CULTURE Cooperation Centre in Zamalek recently hosted a collection of new paintings by Farghali Abdel-Hafiz focusing on Aswan, its environs and its particular culture. His work this time relied on colours borrowed from the local scapes, creating a dialogue between the luminous, the nocturnal and the blues of the Nile. Another feature of this exhibit was Abdel-Hafiz's preference for rough sketching and his avoidance of the mixed media approach he had previously presented.
