MRS SUZANNE Mubarak inaugurated on Tuesday an exhibition of drawings by children from all over the world. The exhibition, held at the Opera House, is sponsored by the Ministry of Culture and the International Museum for Children's Art in Oslo, Norway.
Mrs Mubarak, who is known for her encouragement of children's activities, said that teachers should encourage their students to visit this exhibition in order to acquaint themselves with the creative work of their counterparts from other countries. Minister of Culture Farouk Hosni described the exhibition as a bridge linking Egypt to a variety of cultures. The exhibition, which includes paintings and drawings by children aged three and up, will last until April 15. The drawings displayed are part of the collection of the recently opened International Museum for Children's Art, which is designed to emphasise the importance of allowing children to express their feelings and views through art.
