Ingredients:
1/2kg crushed dry fuul
2 large onions (chopped)
1 bunch of each: green leek leaves + green coriander + parsley
1tbsp crushed garlic
salt + pepper + allspice + cumin + oregano + dry coriander
red chili (optional)
Method:
Wash the beans and soak them in tap water overnight. Strain and rinse under fresh running water. Process in food processor until finely crushed. Remove and process all other ingredients except the spices. Combine the two and process together once more. Add the spices to season, stirring well to combine. Heat oil in a saucepan to deep fry. Form round patties from the mixture and deep fry into the hot oil. Fry in batches, one layer at a time. Fry till browned, turning each patty only once. Remove on paper towels. Serve hot with tahina dip and a green salad.
