Lecture
On 21 June, the American Research Centre in Egypt (ARCE) will present a lecture entitled "The Recent Excavation in the East Delta at Tel Tebilla and Mendes: The Late Old Kingdom, First Intermediate Period and Later Period" by project director Gregory Mumford. Lectures begin at 6.00pm. Refreshments will be provided.

A group of professional guides (members of the Guides Syndicate) will continue their series of lectures at the Egyptian Cultural Club (ECC) on 17 June with a lecture on the monuments of Abu Roash, eight kilometres north of Giza. Mansour Radwan will discuss this important site, where cemeteries date back to the early dynastic period. There are also several rock tombs of senior officials from the fourth dynasty and the recently-discovered pyramid of Djedef-Ra, who reigned in the period between kings Khufu and Khafre.
Lectures are from 7.00 to 9.00pm.
