Upheavals at the opera
The note of change that has beset the tune of the Cairo Opera House of late promises to affect its every endeavour, with a newly instated emphasis on the more appealing and the more popular, facets of which will run parallel to the opera's more conventional performances.Italian choreographer Renato Greco presides over a rehearsal for Margreto, the opera's latest newcomer -- a challenging, funny and unconventional ballet. The final rehearsals for Margreto's Egyptian premier will begin in late August, so that the show can open during the first few days of September.
