Pope Shenouda

Coptic Christmas will be celebrated this week, so the face of the moment is Pope Shenouda's. Although somewhat melancholy, his features radiate good will and forgiveness; his eyes seem to take in all of Egypt at a glance, while his lips, pursed within the folds of his lush beard, could be on the verge of opening in prayer.
