Homemade brownies

Ingredients:

58gms unsweetened chocolate
300gms sugar
105gms flour
3 eggs
1 1/4 tsp vanilla
4 tbsp butter
extra butter for coating

Method:

Coat a 20 x 20 cms baking pan. Preheat oven to moderate. Beat the butter and sugar until you form an emulsion. Add the eggs and vanilla. Beat well. Melt the chocolate in a double boiler, stirring occasionally. Allow to cool off. Add to mixture. Mix well to combine all ingredients. Add the flour gradually whilst stirring with a spatula until you mix well. Pour batter in coated pan. Bake in preheated oven for 45 minutes approximately. Test if brownies are done with a tooth-pick if it comes out clean. Allow to cool in pan. Cut into squares and remove from pan. Serve plain, with vanilla ice-cream or with cream.
