Around the galleries

At the Egyptian Centre for International Cooperation gallery, Chilean artist Gonzalo Correa exhibits striking abstract paintings employing the medium of acrylic and which draw on ancient Latin American civilisation. The work is compatible with the latest trends in abstract art, but this artist breathes tradition into its soul, producing a sensation at once ecstatic and reflective. Work like Correa's is a rare treat.
