Sameh Ashour

Quiet, sharp, calculating: Sameh Ashour, who emerged the victor in last week's Lawyer's Syndicate elections, presents a rare image. I gave him the nose of Gamal Abdel-Nasser to suggest his Nasserist affiliations, and also Nasser's ever-hopeful eyes, which he will need to steer a course through the difficult tasks ahead.
