Buddhas

The Buddhas at Bamiyan, it seems, have been pulverised by the Taliban; perhaps the perpetrators of this senseless crime will be reincarnated as lower life forms in punishment. Here, however, the Buddha is serene and contemplative, representing the eternal life force that is art.
