CULTURE OF AGGRESSION: Israel's submission to UNESCO's World Heritage Committee of a list of 28 Palestinian sites -- including several within East Jerusalem -- for listing as World Heritage Sites, is one more example of colonisation by stealth.

"Another act of Israeli aggression" is the consensus among Arab culture ministries and antiquities officials, who will be meeting with UNESCO representatives in Cairo at the end of the month to lobby against Israel's assertion of custodianship over sites in illegally occupied territory.
