Creamy mushroom pâté

Ingredients:

250gms button mushrooms (finely chopped)
1tbsp finely chopped onion
90gms cream cheese (softened)
few drops Worcestershire sauce
125gms butter
salt + pepper (to taste)

Method:

Cook mushrooms and onion in butter until tender. Place mixture in blender or food processor. Add cream cheese and Worcestershire sauce. Purée until smooth. Season to taste. Pour into a bowl and cover with clinging wrapping paper after cooling off to room temperature. Chill until served. Serve with crackers, toasted pita bread or an assortment of raw vegetables (broccoli, sliced carrots, sliced cucumbers, celery heads and fennel heads).
