Shimon Peres

His response to a crisis is always a little fishy, the expression swimming on his face, as it were. Nor is it, any longer, the face of a prime minister, but that of Sharon's foreign minister, no less. Hence, perhaps, the newly acquired reticence. Shimon Peres: this time I have tried to capture the mixture of truth and untruth in his aspect, the silent surface and the noisy depths.
