PRESIDENT and Mrs Hosni Mubarak showered praise on the cast and crew of Ayyam El-Sadat (The Days of Sadat) at a tea party on Sunday at the presidential palace. Describing the project as "a historic film which refreshes the memory of the nation," Mubarak awarded lead actor Ahmed Zaki (top left), scriptwriter Ahmed Bahgat (above) and director Mohamed Khan (left) the Science and Arts Medal, first class. The president also presented the Science and Arts Medal, second class, to actresses Mervat Amin, Mona Zaki and actor Ahmed El-Saqqa, expressing his appreciation and admiration for the crew of this "magnificent endeavour."

Zaki is expected to start on another project soon, playing the character of Mubarak in the run-up to the 1973 October War when the president was an air force commander.
