Cheese cookies

Ingredients

4 cups flour
250gms feta cheese
1tsp baking powder
1 1/4 cups butter
1 egg (lightly beaten with a dash of pepper)
1tbsp poppy seeds

Method:

Beat the cheese and butter until creamy. Sift flour with baking powder. Add to mixture and mix until a dough consistency is formed. Spread with roller and cut into round shapes (or use any cookie shape cutters). Place onto a baking tray allowing some space in between. Brush top with beaten egg and sprinkle with poppy seeds. Bake in a moderately hot preheated oven until golden. Allow to cool on baking tray. Serve and store in a tin box tightly closed. Serve with tea or as a snack.
