Abdel-Razeq El-Sanhouri

As the Supreme Constitutional Court readies to occupy its impressive new home, I remember jurist and legislator Abdel-Razeq El-Sanhouri, the father of modern Egyptian law. I drew him in a single continuous line, and made him quite literally level-headed, giving him the expression of bliss that comes from fulfilling intellectual rigour.
