Body of the century
EGYPT'S world body-building champion Anwar El-Ammawi added yet another gold medal to his collection when he snatched the welterweight title at the Non-Olympic Games that recently ended in Japan. El-Ammawi silenced his critics after he placed fifth in the world championship earlier this year by coming out on top in Japan, ahead of Brazilian arch-rival Carlos Santos. The Egyptian won the gold medal at the first Non-Olympic Games -- a tournament especially held for sports not played in the Olympics -- in 1997 in Finland. He has thus far collected seven gold and four silver medals in world championships and was selected by the International Body-Building Federation earlier this week the champion of the century
