Hamid Karazai

Hamid Karazai

Hamid Karazai could be hiding behind his nose, as prominent and intransigent as one of Afghanistan's forbidding mountain peaks. He has good reason to seek dissimulation from a future as unknown as Osama Bin Laden's whereabouts -- for when the chips fall, they may well bury him, and he has little say in the hand he has been dealt.
