Tyro THE INTERNATIONAL REGGAE Music Festival, which opened last night at the Cairo Opera House, will continue till Sunday. Performances are scheduled to take place on the grounds of the Cairo Opera House. Tonight, Tyro (pictured) from France, together with the Canadian group Kalitroots, will be performing; Serges Kassy, from the Ivory Coast, is scheduled for tomorrow night. On Sunday the 24th, the closing night of the event, the participating bands will perform together in Alexandria, at the Country Club Ballroom.

The festival is organised by francophone countries with an embassy in Cairo, and under the auspices of the Egyptian Ministry of Culture, on the occasion of the Fête de la Francophonie 2002
