Ihsan Abdel-Qudous

(1919-1990) was a prominent Egyptian journalist, and fiction writer. The son of Rose (Fatma) El-Youssef, Abdel-Qudous received a law degree from Cairo University in 1942. He started as a staff member and later became publisher and chief editor of the magazine, Rose El-Youssef, owned by his mother. His last senior post in Egyptian newspapers was Chairman of the Board of Al-Ahram from 1975-1976.
