LOLA DA SILVA: Though he won 46.6 per cent of the vote in Brazil's last presidential elections, this aged trade unionist shows no sign of vanity. His labour-oriented struggle is clear, his goal always before his eyes: he has enough purity and dignity to be a Marx or an Engels in this age of globalisation.
