The Ba-Gua is a metaphor for the essence of our world and a tool to balance our lives. It is made of eight trigrammes, which must be in balance within themselves, and each other, in order to achieve balance in life. In creating a home, the energy flow in all the spaces, represented by these elements, must be in balance. Too much focus on career, and the colour black, for example, and not enough of family and the colour green, creates imbalance, and manifests negatively in the body part indicated.
