Water win

CANADA won the fifth Cairo International Waterpolo Championship at Gezira club. Turkey came second followed by the Egypt B team. Switzerland and Egypt A placed fourth and fifth respectively. Canada, Turkey and Egypt B had finished with 10 points each but goal difference determined the final places. Canada's Kevin Mitchell was top scorer with 10 goals. Egypt's Bassem Zeinhoum was named best goalkeeper while Canada's Dusan Lazarevic was selected best player. Five teams took part in the three-day event: Turkey, Switzerland, Canada and Egypt which had two national teams, A and B
