Coffee and Walnut Shortbread

Ingredients:
2 Cups plain flour
1 Cup cornflour
2 tbsp. coffee powder
30 Walnut halves
1 Cup sugar
250 gms. softened butter (left long enough at room temperature)
Method:
Place butter and sugar into a large bowl. Beat together with electric mixer until light and fluffy. Sift flours and coffee together. Stir into creamed mixture to form a soft dough. Form dough into small rounds. Arrange on lightly greased baking trays; leaving room for biscuits to spread. Slightly flatten biscuits. Prick vertically with a fork, to make a few holes on top. Top with walnuts. Bake in a preheated slow oven (160¡C) for 20 minutes or until goldened. Serve with coffee.
