WINDOWS, "on video, performance, music" celebrates, so the sparse pre-publicity has it, "the rehabilitation of the new space at Townhouse". Basically an abridged reworking of the programme curated by Tarek Abul-Fetouh, first in Minya and then for the House of World Culture in Berlin, a third outing may be beginning to look a little jaded.
The three-day event nevertheless provides Cairo audiences with an opportunity to see Sherif El-Azma 's video work Egyptian Hostess: A Soap Opera (see photo; 8.30pm all three nights), a performance piece by Amal El-Kenawy, The Room, (10pm, 6 and 7 Sept) and a video by Khaled Hafez, Idler's Logic (8pm, all three nights) alongside the ubiquitous Wist Al-Balad band.
