Sufra Dayma: Shepherd's pie

Ingredients:
500 gms beef minced meat
1 stalk celery (finely chopped)
1 medium onion (finely chopped)
1 carrot + 1 zucchini (finely chopped)
2 cups mashed potatoes
3 tbsp tomato paste
1 bouillon
2 tbsp grated yellow cheese
Butter
100 gms canned button mushrooms (drained and sliced)
Salt (to taste) + pepper + basil (fresh or dry)
Method:
Cook onion and minced beef together in a pan, uncovered. Stir occasionally. Add bouillon to dissolve in minced meat juices. Add pepper and basil. When juices dry, add tomato paste with some hot water and cover over medium heat for 10 minutes. Add mushrooms, carrot and zucchini. Stir in and cook for 20 minutes. Spoon minced meat in sauce, into a pie dish. Top with mashed potatoes. Dot with butter and sprinkle grated cheese on top. Bake in a preheated oven of 200 C until top is goldened. Serve with sautéed vegetables.
