NUBA.COM continues to pull in the audience after three weeks at Al-Hanager. Adapted from three novels by Nubian author Edris Ali, the play focusses on a young man from Nubia who launches a Web site and uses it as a forum for very personal stories about his homeland during the time of the construction of the High Dam.

Nasser Abdel-Moneim's direction smoothly dovetails with both the documentary and the visual qualities of the texts. Nuba.com not only offers a great night at the theatre but sets out to reveal what Nubian culture once represented, and what it has become.
