Horoscopes:
Shooting stars and fireworks

Sagittarians are in for some pleasant surprises. The stars truly play favourites with you in the festive season and I see much merriment in the works. Plenty of partying, bellows of laughter, and a little buffoonery for good measure.
Sensible Sagittarians will go far. The luckiest Sagittarians will be those with more sobering sun signs in the ascendant. Sagittarians, though, are seldom the most sagacious members of the zodiac community. They do not know when to stop. They can be a little too hot- headed, and a crazy few, trigger- happy.
Sagittarians are sometimes depicted as Archers, or better yet as the Centaurs -- the bizarre half-man, half- beast hybrid of Greek myth. And Archers have the kind of animal courage that sometimes lands them in a lot of trouble.
You Sagittarians love nothing better than giving offensive and unpleasant people a piece of your mind. But please, hold your tongues a bit and don't shoot your mouths off. Keep a tight rein on your impulse to tell it as it is.
Archers are accurate, but watch where you aim your arrow. Try not to hurl your poisoned darts at those dearest and closest to you. Wait a minute, take a deep breath before you lash out against a loved one. You might regret it later.
And I'm sorry to remind you about money matters.
Sagittarians are careless with money. Some Sagittarians own not much more than their bows and arrows. They enjoy spending far more than making money. You might find yourself deep in the red by the middle of next month if you carry on with your shopping sprees.
Christmas and New Year are upon us, so please don't overspend. I see many Sagittarian women partying in sexy scarlet, violet and electric blue dresses they can ill afford.
If you think for a minute that you are going to borrow any money from family or friends, you are in for quite a bitter disappointment. If you think those you are banking on will bail you out, then you are sorely mistaken. Count on no one but yourself.
It is sensible, my dear Sagittarian, to work out a weekly budget. Make sure that all your bills have been covered and don't give free rein to your insatiable urge to spend.
Archers are fun-loving and good- natured. But Sagittarians seldom bow to pressure from superiors, family or friends. Still, peer pressure will be something of a problem this January, and that's not particularly pleasant when you are broke.
Typical Sagittarians hate to be tied down domestically. Few Archers love to loiter about the house, but February in particular is a month when some Sagittarians will be forced to stay at home. On the bright side, you'll discover many interesting things to do in your untypical confinement.
House bound or not, there are changes taking place in your life, the scope of which will become more dramatic by March. So, brace yourself for ground-breaking changes.
The Archers are drawn to dangerous pursuits and throughout January and February there is ample opportunity for proving your worth. Sagittarians are destined to come up against numerous challenges in the months ahead. But there is nothing an Archer loves more than a good challenge.
This is a time for far-reaching developments that will inevitably have a decisive impact on your life for years to come. Your special attributes -- dynamism, versatility, adventurousness and boundless energy -- can now fully come into play. So get cracking.
