Cartoons transcend national boundaries, as well as those of language, culture and ethnic origin. Cartoons are, in essence, a universal language of their own.

For this reason, Egyptian representatives of the Federation of European Cartoonists Organisations solicited cartoonists and cartoon associations world-wide to submit cartoons promoting Egypt 2010 through themes of the Pharaohs, football, fair play, etc.
