PRAYERS EN MASSE: In the early hours of Sunday, millions of Egyptians poured out of their homes and congregated in mosques, gardens, sidewalks and open spaces for the Eid Al-Adha prayers.

President Hosni Mubarak -- in Sharm El-Sheikh for the Eid vacation -- went to Al- Salam Mosque, along with a large entourage of cabinet members, officials and public figures, for the prayers that signal the beginning of the festivities.
