More cool pools

Stay cool in one of Cairo's many hotel pools:

Al-Gezirah Sheraton Hotel (+202 737 3737) offers Egyptians and foreigners day-use for LE89 per person from 10am till 7pm. For an overnight stay, the hotel offers single rooms for $100 per night.

The Nile Hilton Hotel (+202 578 0444) offers Egyptians and foreigners day-use of a cabana and its pool for LE281, LE313 and LE454 for two, three and four persons respectively. You can use the pool from 9am till 7pm. However if you intend to spend your night in the hotel, you can book a single room for LE468 for Egyptians and $110 for foreigners.

The Pyramids Park InterContinental Resort (+202 383 8666) offers cabanas for four persons around the pool for LE275 for Egyptians and LE375 for foreigners from 10am till 7pm. Single rooms are offered for LE350, including breakfast for Egyptians, and $75, bed only, for foreigners. While double rooms are offered for LE400 and $85 respectively.

In the Sofitel Cairo Maadi Towers (+202 526 0602) foreigners and Egyptians can have access to the pool and the gym for only LE50 from 9am till 6pm. However, this offer does not include a room or a cabana. A room for day-use costs LE170 for Egyptians and LE180 for foreigners. If your plans include spending the night at the hotel, you can get a double city-view room for LE315 and Nile-view for LE365 for Egyptians. Foreigners can get the double city-view rooms for $115.5 and Nile views for $130.

The Movenpick Hotel Heliopolis (+202 291 9400) offers day-use deals from 9am to 8pm around the swimming pool for LE240 for a group of up to four people. If you want to stay overnight, you can rent a double room for LE450 on bed and breakfast basis. Prices are for both Egyptians and foreigners.

For LE200, Egyptians and foreigners can enjoy the pool of the Sheraton Royal Gardens Hotel (+202 781 2211). A double room on bed and breakfast basis will run you LE350.

Finally, the Le Meridien Pyramids Hotel (+202 383 0383) offers day-use of its pool for Egyptians and foreigners for LE80, while you can book a room for day-use for LE300 and a cabana for LE350. For an overnight stay, single rooms are LE380 while doubles are booked for LE430, including breakfast.
