MASSACRE IN GAZA: The mother of four-year-old Louay al-Najar grieves over his body during his funeral in the southern Gaza Strip. Louay is among 75 Palestinians killed by the Israeli Occupation Army in the past 4 days- victims of 'Operation Days of Penitence' which Israel says targets resistance groups in Gaza. More than 250 Palestinians have been injured.
Four-yeard-old al-Najar was killed by tank fire as he stood in the doorway to his house, residents said. Two Palestinian teenagers, a boy and a girl aged 14 were killed seperatly by Israeli snipers today. Islam Dweedar, 14, was shot while she baked bread in her garden in Jebaliya with her mother.
Israel warned that its massive military offensive could last for "weeks." Despite the escalation, defiant Palestinians fired off two more rockets early Monday at the Israeli town of Sderot, lightly wounding one person.
The U.N. Security Council called an emergency meeting Monday at the request of Arab nations to consider a resolution demanding an immediate halt to the major Israeli offensive in the northern Gaza Strip
