Sufra Dayma:

Pasta and Shrimps in Tomato Sauce

Ingredients:

500 gms pasta (penne or shells)

500 gms cooked shrimps (shelled)

500 gms tomatoes (skinned and diced)

2 onions (thinly sliced)

2 green bell pepper (diced)

1 tbsp tomato paste

1 bouillon cube

2 tbsp lemon juice

1 tbsp fresh dill leaves (chopped)

Oil

Salt + pepper + allspice + cumin

Method:

Cook the pasta al-dente in salted boiling water. Strain under hot water. Drain and leave aside. In the meantime, fry the onions in oil until goldened. Add the green pepper and stir. Add tomatoes, tomato paste, bouillon cube and some water. Season, cover and simmer over low heat and cook for 10 minutes. Add the shrimps and stir to combine. Add the pasta, season, and stir to combine. Cover and heat through. Stir in the dill and combine well. Serve with green salad.
