Horoscopes:

Like unto like

By Imhotep

Sheer emotional torrents would be released in the weeks ahead my dear Sea Goats, as people born under the Cardinal Earth sign of Capricorn (22 Dec-22 Jan) are sometimes called. Ordinarily, Sea Goats like to keep a critical eye on proceedings with a view to not let things get out of hand. But if you want to depart from your usual ways, my dear Sea Goats, the stars say it is time.

This February all hell will be let loose. Sea Goats will fall in love, and even make love on impulse. You, my dear Capricornians, will most certainly not be impressed with delaying tactics.

Capricornians do not as a rule give themselves lightly to mere passing fancies. But things will be very different in February. Wimpy attempts to win your favour will be ruthlessly dismissed and February will turn out to be a Wonderland of Love for straight-forward and down-to-earth Capricornians.

But Sea Goats sometimes harbour an inner lack of confidence which can make them defensive. False pride sometimes makes it hard for Sea Goats to admit when they are wrong. Capricornians can also become overly possessive and jealous. Watch out against these negative character traits in February. If not nipped in the bud they might grow out of hand and spoil all the fun that awaits you this February.

The Planet of Saturn rules both Capricorn and Aquarius. And, Saturn is the karmic initiator of the zodiac. Small wonder then that many of the world leaders are either Capricornians or Aquarians.

Dauntless, you love to break new ground, my dear Water Bearers, as people born under the Fixed Air sign of Aquarius (23 Jan-19 Feb) are sometimes called. In February, and especially around the time of your birthdays, you shall.

You can be brazen if you need to be, but a soft touch is far better. Truly entitled people take what's theirs without announcing it. Anyone could do this, but luckily for you, the stars decree that it's your turn.

But, my dear Water Bearers, you set yourself up for a fall by demanding impossible things. Your friends should matter more than your goals or principles. What's the good of being such a revolutionary if no one will even like or listen to you?

Expect a pleasant and romantic evening on Saint Valentine's Day. You're destined, my dear Water Bearers, to enjoy a tender meeting of like minds over a delicious repost and luscious music.

A clash between the desire for emotional security and a desperate need for creative expression awaits you my dear Fish, as people born under the Mutable Water sign of Pisces (20 Feb-21 Mar) are sometimes called. You need, my dear Pisceans, to protect yourself from hurtful darts being flung by those less sensitive than you who don't understand how wounding their ostensibly trivial actions can be.

Please avoid responding too eagerly to unsolicited advances before they have become much more than a glean in the eye of the prospect.

A friend may let you know that they've had it with another friend of yours, putting you in a position where you have to choose between the two. Or worse, ask you to be a mediator. Ordinarily that's what you do best, my dear Piscean. If you're not game, though, beg off. Stronger and wiser people are calling the shots now. Why complain? No one is denying your personality or suppressing your desires. Pay attention and look interested. Your loyalty will soon be richly rewarded.

Don't let emotions cloud your judgement. Maybe you've forgotten the truth, or maybe you don't choose to believe it right now. In February, you'll be pushed into the spotlight, like it or not. The good news is that you're well suited to it and that you'll wear it well.

Still, listen to other people's thoughts. Treasure their compliments. These many fans, my dear Piscean, can't be wrong about how great you are.
