Tens of thousands of opposition supporters rally in the streets of Lome on 19 February to protest against the country's President Faure Gnassingbe -- put in power by the army after the death of his father, long-time President Gnassingbe Eyadema on 5 Feb. Signs read "The Constitution is not negotiable. It is applied" (right), "Thanks for the African Union's support" (centre), "No to three coups in three days" (bottom left), "Such a young man is going to lead who?" After a week of popular protests Gnassingbe relinquished power on 1 March
