« Last Week, the Modern Sciences and Arts University (MSA) celebrated its first international day at the new campus in Sixth of October City. The celebration, my dears, took place under the auspices of the MSA board of trustees head Nawal El-Degwi and President of the University Khayri Abdel-Hamid. The exhibition included stands from all over the world -- Brazil, Lebanon, Italy, Spain, Switzerland, Jordan, Sudan and Palestine. The stands and booths included handicrafts, food, CDs and tourist maps of the different countries. Students, about 3,000 of them no less, organised traditional dances with the most intriguing and colourful customes sending messages of love and peace to all the peoples of the world. Love, my sweet ones, is in the air.

¨ Actors starring in the popular Egyptian film Hobb Al-Banat (The Love of Girls) were honoured last Thursday at the Egyptian Centre for International Cultural Cooperation. First Under- Secretary for Foreign Cultural Relations at the Culture Ministry Sherif El-Shoubashi and the centre's media officer Sahar Hassan distributed the awards among the charming heroes and heroines of Hobb Al-Banat. Among those honoured were actresses Hanan Turk and Hana Sheha as well as actors Ashraf Abdel-Baqi and Khaled Abul-Naga. During the event, the film was screened and followed by a seminar that focussed on the film as it appeared in different international film festivals such as the 2004 Paris Festival.
