ISRAELI emergency services work at the scene of a suicide bomb attack which killed four and injured 90 outside a shopping mall in the city of Netanya (top), on 12 July. Despite the completion of the separation wall (above) just 15 kilometres to the city's east, its redundance was once again proven by the Islamic Jihad attack.
This week the Sharon government announced plans to complete the East Jerusalem section of the wall which will cut into the lives of thousands of Palestinians. One year ago the International Court of Justice issued an advisory opinion stating that the separation barrier was illegal under international law.
To date, the international community has done nothing to underline the authority of the court and press for the wall's removal.
