The passing of Nobel Literature laureate Naguib Mahfouz was a tremendous loss to Egypt, the Arab world and the entire globe. His literary legacy shall remain with us forever. His wrinkled face, lined with decades of long experience, was expressive as ever -- even on his deathbed. His piercing, watchful eyes scan the city he loved and the country he adored. Adieu, master storyteller, farewell gifted novelist. May his soul rest in peace.
