I shuddered as I watched Judge Raouf Rashid Abdel-Rahman pronounce the dreaded, albeit widely anticipated verdict: Saddam Hussein sentenced to death. With trembling hands I illustrated the ousted Iraqi leader as proud a man as ever -- unmoved by his newfound status as death row inmate. Not in the least perturbed, his salt and pepper beard, wild unblinking eyes, and sarcastic sneer as he defies his persecutors with a look full of mockery and derision.
