Tharwat Sabry

AFICS-Egypt mourns a dear friend and founder, Tharwat Sabry

It is with deep sadness and sorrow that AFICS announces the great loss of its dear Founding Member, Governing Board Member and Beyond Advisory Group Member Engineer Tharwat Sabry. He will be sorely missed by all those whose life he touched with his winning personality, generosity, charm, vision, creativity and entrepreneurial spirit. He was one of Egypt's most valuable industrial experts and development practitioners. Tharwat died after a sudden illness on Monday 11 December 2006. He was buried at his home town, Zagazig.

May his soul rest in peace and may Nazli, his lifetime wife and companion, and their children, Amina and Abdel Hamid, bear his parting with the serenity that characterized his life.

He will be much fondly remembered by all who came his way and whose life he cheered by his mere presence.
