 United States Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice is a determined woman. Her protruding teeth, pug nose and bulging cheeks give the game away: hers is a plastic smile. I illustrated Palestinian President Abu Mazen next to Rice, but depicted him as being overwhelmed by the high-powered US official. Rice's meeting with Abu Mazen is not that of equals. Even so, she urged the Palestinians to make peace with Israel. Can her half-hearted attempt at mediating between Palestinians and Israelis win the day?
