 At last, Shimon Perez got what he always wanted: to be president of the state of Israel. I can think of no greater dishonour. At this particular historical juncture, when Israel is punishing, as never before, the Palestinian people for just being. The settler colonial state is now playing divide and rule tactics in order to finish off the Palestinians. But, Israel -- with or without Perez at the helm -- will never succeed in wiping the Palestinians off the face of the Middle East.
