The soul of perfection has left us for good. Four years after the passing of Al-Ahram Weekly 's founding editor-in-chief Hosny Guindy, we still feel his spirit guiding us.
His was a great loss. We grieve the man who more than any other moulded the character of the paper. Those who joined the Weekly as idealistic youngsters, just out of college, are now pragmatic writers and columnists. The Weekly has come a long way. We pay homage to the humble man who made us what we are today.
However, we take solace in the birth of his granddaughter Hannah. Life, goes on. Memories most sweet, and as long as we breathe we shall remember.
